Image Bank- Texture
This photograph is of bright blue wooden columns of wood which could be for a fence or bench. The photograph has been taken close up this is to allow the viewer to notice the huge detail and what texture this photograph is of. The texture used in this photograph is rough this is because the planks of wood have bumps and gaps in them and have shades of darker blue to show where the roughness has been increased by the weather. This material is known to be rough unless it has been made to be smooth.
This photograph is of a close up of a flower. This flower uses bright yellow colours and orange colours to give the texture more detail. Also the closeness has been used to make the viewer see the texture easier and clearer. The texture of this photograph is smooth on the petals and soft in the centre of the flower. Both these textures are very delicate and are shown as the material in the centre looks very fluffy and also in real like they are soft and the petals have a metalic look to them which make them look soft.
This photograph is of a cobbled wall. The colours of this photograph are very dark and duel as they are blacks and greys. This photograph is close up to show the deepness and detail of the texture. This photograph has the rouugh, stoney texture as the hardness of the photograph estblishes this. As well as this being a material i have seen and has been in the visual world.
This photograph is of the back of a sofa. This photograph of a piece of furnture is a fresh gold colour and has been taken close up to make the focus of the photograph to be the texture. The texture of this photograph is a cushiony smooth texture. I know this because this piece of furniture is in my every day life.
This photograph is of a person holding two ice creams. The person is blurred out to focus on the texture of the icecream. The colours of this photograh are bubble gum pink and brown for chocalote. The texture they contain are a smooth texture as the spirals of ice cream show this. As well as ice cream being a food i have eaten and is in most peoples every day life.
This photograph is of a roof of a house. This photograph has been take from an angle and close up to show the texture in detail. The colours of this photograph are rusty browns. The texture that has been used for this photograph are rough textures this is because the roof tiles look very worn out and this would suggest a rough texture where as if they were new the texture would be very smooth.
Form- Image Bank
This photograph is of a young women looking out a window feeling isolated and lonely. The use of black and white sets the mood and also shows the formal element of form. Form is used as you can see the 3D nature of this women by the shadow on her arm and face.
This photograph is a photograph of a women putting on her shoes. Her arms and legs are both in shot. This photograph is in black and white to show the formal element of form. Form is used as there is shadowing on her legs and arms to show that they aren't flat features they have a 3D nature to them.
This photograph is of a girl hiding behind darkness. Only the top right of her face is in shot. This allows her eyes to look enhanced and the main focus of this photograph. This photograph shows the formal element of form as there is shadowing around her eye and on her face as well as the darkness on the side of he face. The use of form shows that this girl is 3D and isn't a flat object.
This photograph is of a lake leading up to huge mountains with land surrounding the lake. This photograph is in black and white and shows the beauty of nature. The use of the formal element form has been used in this photograph as there is shadows of darkness inside the lake and the land has shades in it as well to show that the nature of this photograph is 3D.
This photograph is of loads of paper tied together tightly to make it curl inwards to each other. This photograph looks like an illusion when you look at it the first time. The photograph is in black and white and uses the formal element of form. Form is used in the paper on the edges to show that the paper isn't flat it has a volume to it that makes it 3D.
This photograph is the only photograph in my image bank that is in colour. This photograph is of a flower in a plant pot .The photograph has been taken above the flower. The bright colours are very eye catching and the use of the formal element form in this photograph makes this flower look real. The use of form has been used as there is shadows of lightness and darkness in this photograph to show that this flower is 3D.

Image Bank Reflection
Reflection is where you produce a reflection of yourself an object or anything that contains an amount of light being reflected. You can find reflections in puddles, windows, mirrors or buildings. Reflections is a very good formal element to produce photography with as i think its very interesting to see a repeat of the same focus but in a different angle. These photographs below show the use of the formal element reflections in there photographs. The first one is of a row of trees and bushes along the side of a lake. The sky is very warm and bright and the sunlight is brightly shining on the lake to reflect the trees onto the lake. This photograph is horizontal and has been taken from a distance of the tree's to show the reflection underneath the tree's to get a repetitive effect. By having the tree's and reflection a dark black and the sky a sun set colour scheme creates the reflection to stand out hugely and make the viewer draw there eyes to this. This photograph also captivates a relaxed and calming atmosphere.
The second photograph is of a young boy standing in front of a puddle. His body is reflected from the light to the puddle. The photograph has been diagonally angled to only show the young boys legs and shoes and then in the puddle reflection his body features from chest up. This is very captivating and different as the photographer could of just taken the reflection just showing his legs and shoes. But he didn't to make the reflection more obvious and to make this photograph very strange as the young boys chest and face isn't natural to be below the legs and shoes. The colours in this photograph are that the ground and sky are very dull looking but the young boy is wearing very bright clothing this to create the reflection of the young boy and the young boy stand out from the background so that the viewer automatically knows he's being reflected. As well putting colour in this photograph creates more detail to the photograph.
The third photograph is of a natural girl who has her hair up in a bun and is standing in front of a mirror. The girl is looking downwards this is to show half of her face features so the reflection shows the other half. The photograph is in black and white this is to show huge detail and make this photograph very sharp to see the outline of her reflection and her very clear. By the girl being positioned to the side then leads the viewer to her reflection this shows that this photograph has been very well laid out and thought through deeply. The reflection is very fuzzy this is to show the difference between the real girl which is a very clear and sharp and the reflection which is very faint. This photograph has a sense of grace and this is shown through the reflection and the suttle colours.
The forth photograph is of a long row of pink blossom tree's that have puddles in front of them all to which reflect the long row of tree's onto the ground. In the distance there is a figure of someone jumping in the air this person has also been reflected. This photograph contains bright colours of pinks and greens to show a bright and happy atmosphere as it is spring season. The way that this photograph has been taken the tree's get smaller as they fade into the distance. This is very affective as it creates the photograph to look very busy and by having the tree's different sizes it gives the photograph more shape and captivates the viewer more.
The fifth photograph is of two young children walking to the sea. There reflection is behind them where the whole body has been reflected backwards. The photograph is in black and white and this brings out the reflection better. The use of black and white also makes this photograph professional and makes it have the feel of a very loving family photograph. By having the the beach in the photograph shows a story behind the photograph. Also the reflection is very wavy and looks as if the reflection is under the sea this links to the photograph very well.
The sixth photograph is of someone taking a photograph of someones sunglasses very close up. The sun glasses are mirrors so that the photographer is reflected into them. The whole photograph is in black and white other then one shade of the sun glasses where the reflection is. This is in bright colours to stand out from the whole picture. This photograph is very clever and different which will draw people into the photograph.

Image Bank Tone
In all these photographs tone is used to show the lightness and darkness of the photographs without showing any relation to the colours. In the first photograph tone is used as the background surrounding the two hands. The backgrounds shade is very dark this creates a intimate atmosphere and creates the two hands to stand out. The black background and white hands contrast however the hands are also toned and disappear in the dark tone to give the arms shape. The second Photograph also uses tone to as the photograph is of two flowers. The tone is used as the black and white colour creates the flowers and plants in the background to contain a light and dark shade. This creates the photograph to look very real and creates the photograph to no longer look flat but three dimensaional. This photograph contains beauty as nature is the main focus and theme. The third Photograph uses tone in the patterned stars as the colours of the starts have two differnet shades of bronze in them this makes the photograph look very affective as it gives the photograph more shape and makes the stars stand out more. The forth photograpah shows tone through the brick walls as the colours are of the same shade but different shade which created the photograph to look very old and ancient as well as three dimensional. The fifth shows tone through bright colours as the leaf has a bright coloured base but the shadow of darkness covers a part of it to give it tone. As well as the background being blurred which combines all the natural colours to produce tone. The last photograph uses tones as the concrete cracks have a deep black inbetween them where as the actual concrete itself is a lighter shade.

Depth image bank
In this photograph it shows depth as the photograph is angled from one end and shows a close up of the plate set then slowly the plate sets get smaller as they are further away from the camrea lense. This is very affective as it blurrs out into the distance which makes this photograph look very complex instead of being taken from the front which would be more simplier. The lighting in this photograph complemts the depth as it is very deep and wamring this creates the atmosphere and creates the depth to be very powerful.
In this photograph it shows the use of depth. The centre of the flower is in focus and is very sharp this is because it has been taken very close up. Whereas the petals and the background are blurred which means they are not in focus as the quality is not sharp this is to show depth. This is affective as it creates the photograph to look 3 dimensional as if the flower is coming out the photograph. The main focus point draws the viewer into the photograph and leads its eyes through the depth of the photograph. I think that depth has been used very well in this photograph as it captured the inbetween of the focus and blurr. This shows how depth goes through stages.
In this photograph it shows the theme of depth. Depth has been used in this photograph as there is a coke can in focus and in sharp quality and the others are out of focus where they are captured at a blur. This is very affective as it is created so the middle coke can to stand out towards the viewer. This photograph is very different as it has used the centre as the focus instead of the closest coke can. The use of depth also has brought out the bright red writing and the shiny silver colour and made them very eye catching to look at. The use of depth creates this photograph to be more exciting and to be engaging. Instead of three coke cans on a table.
In this photograph it shows depth. This is because it has a photograph of a daisy that is extremely close up in the photograph. This daisy is very sharp and hugely detailed. The depth is shown through the other daisy's behind it as they blur to represent the distance. This photograph is very good quality as even though the daisies are blurred you can still see what they are and how the smaller they are the more they are into the distance. This photograph is angled as portrait and this is to create the photograph to look very narrow to show more depth in the distance. The use of nature in this photograph creates a sense of grace and beauty and makes this photograph very appealing to look at. Even though this photograph isn't the clearest photograph to show depth. This photograph is very creative and therefore makes this photograph stand out from other depth photographs.
In this photograph it shows depth. This photograph is of a massive library that has been taken from the side to show in this photograph the full length of the room. The depth is where the two sides of the library converge inwards to create the library to look very narrow as it gets further away from the camera. This photograph is very light to emphasis how long this library goes on for. This photograph is very interesting to look at shows the use of depth extremely well.
In this photograph it shows the use of depth. This is shown by a long road which is taken to show the distance of it. There is a close up of a red car which puts impact on the other cars as they are much smaller therefore further away which shows depth. This photograph contains a lot of colour and this is very attractive to the viewer. The long road leads the viewers eyes through the path which shows a journey this is very unique and creative.

Shapes image bank
In this photograph it presents the theme of shapes through a photograph of a car. This photograph is of a gloss red car that has been taken in action. This is because the wheels are slightly blurred and the road is as well this represents speed in movement. The theme of shapes has been used through the build of the car there is examples of circles, rectangles and triangles. The shape that's stands out the most is the nearest wheel that is a obvious circle this is because it has been taken to be the closest of them all. This draws the viewer into the photograph immediately. The circle is very bold and creates the photograph to look creative and not empty as there is something going on in the photograph. This photograph doesn't lack shape which gives it a very good structure. The shapes make this car look good and why people buy it as its unique characteristics tear it apart from other cars.
In this photography it contains the term shapes through the sillohetts of people. The shapes in this photograph is from the shapes of the peoples body features. By using the style of sillohetts creates the viewer to see the outlined shapes easier then if the bodies were normal colours. The appearence of this photograph presents a range of shapes for example the main body can be established as rectangles and the feet as circles. The use of shapes in this photograph gives a sense of structure and organsiastion to this photograph. The rectangles in this photograph create the photograph to look very dynamic and 3D affect. There is alot of different shapes in this photograph which makes this photograph very busy and chaotic this is because the message the photographer is trying to bring across i think is that these people are having a wild time and there emotions are very excited that the shapes need to be mixed to express this.
In this photograph it shows shapes to form this beautiful photograph. The shapes are hilighted from traingles in the wings, cirlces in the centre of the flowers, cylinders in the stems of the flowers. shapes are what forms the appearence of the photograph so without these identified shapes in this photograph there wouldnt be a well structured photograph that has a sense of elgance and grace to it. This photograph contains organic shapes these are shapes that occur in nature which in this case are the flowers and the butterfly. The shapes in this photograph arent fully obviouse as there are splashes of coloures that makes the shapes less obviouse to recongise. This makes it interesting for the viewer as the shapes are hidden so that the viewer has to look deeply into the photograph to see the shapes and its structure. The shapes in this photograph make the photograph a better quality as the photograph brings interest to nature.
In this photgraph it uses shapes to form the appearence of this photograph. This photograph is of arrows on signs at the side of a road to show directions. This photograph has been taken at an angle where depth is shown. This photograph contains very obviouse shapes this is to make it clear to any driver what the signs stands for and means. The shapes are two parrelle trapeziums and squares. These shapes create a structure to the photograph and the colours of black contrasting with the bright yellow allow the shapes to seen much clearer and put interest on this photograph. The photograph has been taken so that one sign is very close up and the others fade into the distance even though these photographs are three dimensional the angle and the lighting produce this photograph to look 3D.
In this photograph it uses shapes to form this photograph. The shapes that are in the pretzles are semi circles and triangles. These shapes give the affect of motion and dynamics as the photograph looks 3 dimensional. The angle of this photograph is very close up this is to make this photograph more engaging to the viewer and also hilighting the irregualr shapes that are presented in a chaotic order to express that this photograph could of been a spontaneouse idea and not as structured as others. This photograph is full of bright colours it doesnt have a seperated main focus and background this is to create an illusions and fasicnate the viewer more towards this photograph.

In this photograph it contains the theme of shapes. This photgraph creates a dramtic impact by emphasizing the shape. This photograph has done this by making a single shape the focus of the image, capturing it against an unclutterd contrasting background. This has been done by the photograph being taken close to the subject or changing the camreas angle to get rid of the pictures distracting details. Lines defines shapes which our eyes follow the lines in this photograph which lead the way showing the direction and distance. As well as the line leading the viewer through the star shape.

Patterns image bank
In this photograph it uses the theme of pattern. This photogrpah is a extreme close up shot of a leaf. The vibrant green colour stands out very boldly and the faint brown colour inbeds itself in the green to show the outline of the patterned leaf. Also having a close up of this photograph shows the pattern of the stems repeated is very clear and the pattern within the stems are very distinct. The pattern of the stems are all straight lines which come out of the central straight stem in the middle this is the common pattern of a leaf but by having the close up shot to emphasis the detailed pattern on a leaf shows people that leaves are very intrieging to look at. There is also a pattern within the stems which is reapeated amounts of vague zig zag lines which have a delicate but wrinkled affect to them these are very affective as they give the leaf a texture and create the leaves pattern to look even more fasicianting. These patterns used almost take the focus of that this photograph is a leaf and shows the pattern in more depth.
In this photograph it uses the theme of pattern. This photograph is of a cobbled stoned section of a wall. The colours are very deep greys and hazy browns. This photograph has been taken close up this is affect as it empahsis the pattern more and allows the viewer to see it much easier. There are several patterns used in this photograph the first being the stones have been built in a random order which contains different seizes and thickness. This is a pattern as it shows the structure of the stones. This is very affective as it creates the photograph to look very striking and unique. The second pattern are the pattered lines within the stones these are very vague lines but they all contain them. The benefit of having this photograph close up is so that the viewer can see this pattern and see the inner detail that this stone cobbled wall has.
In this photograph there is use of the theme patterns. This photograph again is a close up of a roof. The concrete red stands out and complements this pattern very well. The pattern used looks like small cyclinders in columns and then dips in every other coloumn. This is a very intersting pattern and appears in our every day life as it is used for roofs of millions of buildings and houses. This pattern also outlines another pattern as going horizontally there are semi circles all in line. This gives the pattern more detail and makes this photograph very captivating.

In this photograph it contains the theme of patterns. This photograph is of the bottom stumps of tress. This photograph is a close up photo which has been taken from above them. The dark outlines of these stumps stand out and put impact on the pattern as they outline it. As well as the mixed shades of brown create this photograph to be very natural. The pattern used in this photograph is very random as the stumps have been postioned in a random order and the photographer has chosen different sized tree stumps to show a variety and makes this photograph very intresting. This pattern is a natural pattern as trees are natural plants that arent man made.
In this photograph it contains the theme of patterns. This photograph is of a selection of fish. This photograph is a close up photograph to show clear detail. This photograph has a pattern of repeated lines of fish which are all very bunched together. My first look at this photograph i thought the photograph was of a cottage building wall or a basket. But when i looked closly i saw the pattern was made up of fish. This pattern is very engaging as it is made up of natural living sea life. Also the pattern has a rough edge to to it that is very fasicinating to look at. However this pattern doesnt look attractive in my eye it looks very strange and different to other patternd photographs i have analysed.
In this photograph it uses the theme of pattern to put impact on the photograph. This photograph is of a spiraled pavement. The deep brown/orange colours set a glowing tone to the photograph. The pattern is spiraled and continouse from the middle all the way to the edges of the photograph. This is very affective as it draws the viewer into the centre of the photograph at how outstanding it it. The spiral pattern also makes the photograph look very complex. The tiles that make up the spiraled pavement are all used as the spiral to create an illusion which makes this photograph very interesting. This pattern is a man made pattern and shows that even the ground pavements have a intrieging structure to it that can attract many viewers. This pattern also gives pavements a modern sense to it.
