In this photograph it shows depth as the photograph is angled from one end and shows a close up of the plate set then slowly the plate sets get smaller as they are further away from the camrea lense. This is very affective as it blurrs out into the distance which makes this photograph look very complex instead of being taken from the front which would be more simplier. The lighting in this photograph complemts the depth as it is very deep and wamring this creates the atmosphere and creates the depth to be very powerful.

  In this photograph it shows the use of depth. The centre of the flower is in focus and is very sharp this is because it has been taken very close up. Whereas the petals and the background are blurred which means they are not in focus as the quality is not sharp this is to show depth. This is affective as it creates the photograph to look 3 dimensional as if the flower is coming out the photograph. The main focus point draws the viewer into the photograph and leads its eyes through the depth of the photograph. I think that depth has been used very well in this photograph as it captured the inbetween of the focus and blurr. This shows how depth goes through stages.

In this photograph it shows the theme of depth. Depth has been used in this photograph as there is a coke can in focus and in sharp quality and the others are out of focus where they are captured at a blur. This is very affective as it is created so the middle coke can to stand out towards the viewer. This photograph is very different as it has used the centre as the focus instead of the closest coke can. The use of depth also has brought out the bright red writing and the shiny silver colour and made them very eye catching to look at. The use of depth creates this photograph to be more exciting and to be engaging. Instead of three coke cans on a table.

In this photograph it shows depth. This is because it has a photograph of a daisy that is extremely close up in the photograph. This daisy is very sharp and hugely detailed. The depth is shown through the other daisy's behind it as they blur to represent the distance. This photograph is very good quality as even though the daisies are blurred you can still see what they are and how the smaller they are the more they are into the distance. This photograph is angled as portrait and this is to create the photograph to look very narrow to show more depth in the distance. The use of nature in this photograph creates a sense of grace and beauty and makes this photograph very appealing to look at.  Even though this photograph isn't the clearest photograph to show depth. This photograph is very creative and therefore makes this photograph stand out from other depth photographs.

 In this photograph it shows depth. This photograph is of a massive library that has been taken from the side to show in this photograph the full length of the room. The depth is where the two sides of the library converge inwards to create the library to look very narrow as it gets further away from the camera. This photograph is very light to emphasis how long this library goes on for. This photograph is very interesting to look at shows the use of depth extremely well.

In this photograph it shows the use of depth. This is shown by a long road which is taken to show the distance of it. There is a close up of a red car which puts impact on the other cars as they are much smaller therefore further away which shows depth. This photograph contains a lot of colour and this is very attractive to the viewer. The long road leads the viewers eyes through the path which shows a journey this is very unique and creative.

Four annoations of shapes in photography

In this photograph it has a range of shapes to form the appearence of this photograph. The shapes are curved lines that form irregular circles. These shapes all spiral round to make individual huge cirlces that range from small to medium to big sizes. This photograph covers the whole of the photograph there is no background to contrast the shapes with. This allows the shapes to be the definite main focus and as the shapes spiral in it creates an illusion and draws the viewer into the centre of the photograph. The red in the shapes creates a warmth and makes the shapes look 3 dimensional as they contain a depth. This photograph all together is very captivating and the appearence is very interesting to look at.

In this photograph it contains shapes to form the appearence of this photgraph. The main shape that this photograph contains is cirlces. There are 3 cirlces in this photograph the first one being the biggest which is the outline of the CD. The second is the faint line in the middle of the CD and the last one is in the centre which is the smallest sized cirlce. These circles form the CD and give the CD a complex struture to it even though its only formed by circles. This photograph contains a flat object but the shiny mix of colours and the reflection from the CD create this photograph to look 3 dimensional. The cricles are the main focus of the photograph and by having a white background draws all the attention on the CD.

In this photograph it uses shape to create the photograph to have a mysteriouse affect. The shapes used are a repatative amount of cirlces on the both the table and the salt and pepper. The circles are all monocrome and create a dark and edgy look to the photograph. The use of just one shape creates a pattern and makes the photograph look very fascinating to look at. The circles on the table are produced by a light this creates the photograph to look very 3 dimensional. By having cirles all over the table and just two object creates this photograph to not look overly clutterd just well presented and interesting to look at.

 In this photograph it uses the theme of shapes. The shapes used in this photograph are mainly squares this is repeated as the photograph is of a block of apartments. The squares create this photograph to look very stables and structured. This photograph is very interesting as the initial look of this photograph just looking like a pattern of shapes but when you look closely and deeper into the photograph you realise its a block of apartments this is very affective as it engages the viewer hugely. This photograph is 3 dimensional and this is what highlights the squares and creates them to be the main focus of this photograph. The squares are the colour white and this is to border the dark colours that are inside the square. This photograph shows that shapes appear in everyday life man made and natural.

Work Diary

The first photograph im going to evaluate is the edit of Demi Wrenn. This photograph contains shape through the features of her body. This photograph has been taken from the centre and inlcudes the beight red background which makes the shapes stand out hugely. To improve this photogaph i could take it from a lower angle and change the background to a shape to add extra shape in this photograph.

The second photograph im going to evaluate is the table and chairs edit. This shows great use of shape as it involves a range of cirlces that are differnt colours and sizes. This photograph was taken from a high angle which is very creative and different to being the same level as the table and chairs. To imprive this photograph i would make the photograph a tiny bit darker to see the outlines of the shapes better.

The day i went out to take the photographs for this formal element the weather was very bright and dry this was very good as it made shapes very easy to find and therefore i took a range of photographs inside and out. If i would develop my photographs i would of large areas of shapes instead of lots of close up photographs.

In this photograph it presents the theme of shapes through a photograph of a car. This photograph is of a gloss red car that has been taken in action. This is because the wheels are slightly blurred and the road is as well this represents speed in movement. The theme of shapes has been used through the build of the car there is examples of circles, rectangles and triangles. The shape that's stands out the most is the nearest wheel that is a obvious circle this is because it has been taken to be the closest of them all. This draws the viewer into the photograph immediately. The circle is very bold and creates the photograph to look creative and not empty as there is something going on in the photograph. This photograph doesn't lack shape which gives it a very good structure. The shapes make this car look good and why people buy it as its unique characteristics tear it apart from other cars.

In this photography it contains the term shapes through the sillohetts of people. The shapes in this photograph is from the shapes of the peoples body features. By using the style of sillohetts creates the viewer to see the outlined shapes easier then if the bodies were normal colours.The appearence of this photograph presents a range of shapes for example the main body can be established as rectangles and the feet as circles. The use of shapes in this photograph gives a sense of structure and organsiastion to this photograph. The rectangles in this photograph create the photograph to look very dynamic and 3D affect. There is alot of different shapes in this photograph which makes this photograph very busy and chaotic this is because the message the photographer is trying to bring across i think is that these people are having a wild time and there emotions are very excited that the shapes need to be mixed to express this.

In this photograph it shows shapes to form this beautiful photograph. The shapes are hilighted from traingles in the wings, cirlces in the centre of the flowers, cylinders in the stems of the flowers. shapes are what forms the appearence of the photograph so without these identified shapes in this photograph there wouldnt be a well structured photograph that has a sense of elgance and grace to it. This photograph contains organic shapes these are shapes that occur in nature which in this case are the flowers and the butterfly. The shapes in this photograph arent fully obviouse as there are splashes of coloures that makes the shapes less obviouse to recongise. This makes it interesting for the viewer as the shapes are hidden so that the viewer has to look deeply into the photograph to see the shapes and its structure. The shapes in this photograph make the photograph a better quality as the photograph brings interest to nature.

In this photgraph it uses shapes to form the appearence of this photograph. This photograph is of arrows on signs at the side of a road to show directions. This photograph has been taken at an angle where depth is shown. This photograph contains very obviouse shapes this is to make it clear to any driver what the signs stands for and means. The shapes are two parrelle trapeziums and squares.These shapes create a structure to the photograph and the colours of black contrasting with the bright yellow allow the shapes to seen much clearer and put interest on this photograph. The photograph has been taken so that one sign is very close up and the others fade into the distance even though these photographs are three dimensional the angle and the lighting produce this photograph to look 3D.

Anaylse of pattern photographs


In this photograph it contains the theme of patterns. This photograph is of a man made pattern that has a repeated amount of sqaure shapes that are made out of metal. The reapeated squares are at an angle and are created in a structured way to form a pattern. The pattern is a deep grey and black colour and stands out as the colours are very bold.This pattern is a very basic and simple pattern but when viewed comes across very complex. The view of the photograph looks as if the pattern are diamond shapes and the pattern looks just like a be hive.This is very affective piece of photography as the photo is close up and this allows the viewer to see the pattern very clear and to see the 3D sense that it has.
In this photograph it contains the theme of pattern. The photograph has been taken as a birds eye view as it has been angled above the photograph. The pattern is a repeated pattern of colomns of tables and chairs layed out in a spaciouse resturant. This pattern is a very simple pattern but by using man made objects such as a table and chair makes this pattern very creative and fascinating to observe. The colours are very light as they are beiges and whites this to take the focus of off the fact that they are table and chairs and to focus more on the pattern and affect they give on the viewer.

The colours are very bright and vibrant and put impact on the pattern to create it to stand out more. The pattern is a row of angled lines that are repeated. Without the use of repition there wouldnt be a pattern. The pattern is again very basic and simple but the bright colours and classy angle makes the pattern much more interesting and engaging for the viewer. The pattern has different sized lines some are thick and some are thin. This makes the pattern more creative and random which gives the pattern a more edgy feel to it instead of having perfect straight lines repeated.

The pattern is circled petals reapeated which flow in a circle to form a flower. The circled petals expand as they get further out. This is affective as it draws the viewers full attention into the photograph. The pattern looks as if the the petals are 3D and this is affective as it gives the pattern a shape and doesnt make the flower look flat and dull. The pattern is very affective as it is a natural pattern that flows in a circular shape this creates the pattern to look very complex. The bright red also brings out the pattern more and makes the photograph alot more captiviating to look at.

Work Diary

The first photograph im going to evaluate is the bricks edit. This photograph i feel is very well taken as its very clear and sharp and shows a huge amount of detail.The photo was taken close up this was to create the pattern to be very eye catching. The colours help the pattern to stand out and the repeated squares show pattern fantasticly. To improve this edit i would make the photograph more even as there is half of the side bricks missing and i would also make the lighting a tiny bit darker to take the attention of the colour and more on the pattern.

The second photograph im going to evaluate is the stairs edit. This photograph was taken at an interesting angle as it has been taken from a high angle. This makes the pattern very differnt to look at. The dark blocks of black make the bright yellow pattern stand out very well. To improve this photograph i woud make the photograph more staright and take it from higher..

The day that i went out to take photographs for this formal element the weather was very dry and bright this enabled me to take a range of photographs for this element which i did. If i could go back and take more photographs i would of added more photos that had more colour to make the pattern more creative and i would of taken photographs of clothing as fashion is something im interested in.

In this photograph it uses the theme of pattern. This photogrpah is a extreme close up shot of a leaf. The vibrant green colour stands out very boldly and the faint brown colour inbeds itself in the green to show the outline of the patterned leaf. Also having a close up of this photograph shows the pattern of the stems repeated is very clear and the pattern within the stems are very distinct. The pattern of the stems are all straight lines which come out of the central straight stem in the middle this is the common pattern of a leaf but by having the close up shot to emphasis the detailed pattern on a leaf shows people that leaves are very intrieging to look at. There is also a pattern within the stems which is reapeated amounts of vague zig zag lines which have a delicate but wrinkled affect to them these are very affective as they give the leaf a texture and create the leaves pattern to look even more fasicianting. These patterns used almost take the focus of that this photograph is a leaf and shows the pattern in more depth.

In this photograph it uses the theme of pattern. This photograph is of a cobbled stoned section of a wall. The colours are very deep greys and hazy browns.This photograph has been taken close up this is affect as it empahsis the pattern more and allows the viewer to see it much easier.There are several patterns used in this photograph the first being the stones have been built in a random order which contains different seizes and thickness. This is a pattern as it shows the structure of the stones. This is very affective as it creates the photograph to look very striking and unique. The second pattern are the pattered lines within the stones these are very vague lines but they all contain them. The benefit of having this photograph close up is so that the viewer can see this pattern and see the inner detail that this stone cobbled wall has.

In this photograph there is use of the theme patterns. This photograph again is a close up of a roof. The concrete red stands out and complements this pattern very well. The pattern used looks like small cyclinders in columns and then dips in every other coloumn. This is a very intersting pattern and appears in our every day life as it is used for roofs of millions of buildings and houses. This pattern also outlines another pattern as going horizontally there are semi circles all in line. This gives the pattern more detail and makes this photograph very captivating.

In this photograph it contains the theme of patterns. This photograph is of the bottom stumps of tress. This photograph is a close up photo which has been taken from above them. The dark outlines of these stumps stand out and put impact on the pattern as they outline it. As well as the mixed shades of brown create this photograph to be very natural. The pattern used in this photograph is very random as the stumps have been postioned in a random order and the photographer has chosen different sized tree stumps to show a variety and makes this photograph very intresting. This pattern is a natural pattern as trees are natural plants that arent man made.

 In this photograph it contains the theme of patterns. This photograph is of a selection of fish. This photograph is a close up photograph to show clear detail. This photograph has a pattern of repeated lines of fish which are all very bunched together.My first look at this photograph i thought the photograph was of a cottage building wall or a basket. But when i looked closly i saw the pattern was made up of fish. This pattern is very engaging as it is made up of natural living sea life. Also the pattern has a rough edge to to it that is very fasicinating to look at. However this pattern doesnt look attractive in my eye it looks very strange and different to other patternd photographs i have analysed.

 In this photograph it uses the theme of pattern to put impact on the photograph. This photograph is of a spiraled pavement. The deep brown/orange colours set a glowing tone to the photograph. The pattern is spiraled and continouse from the middle all the way to the edges of the photograph. This is very affective as it draws the viewer into the centre of the photograph at how outstanding it it. The spiral pattern also makes the photograph look very complex. The tiles that make up the spiraled pavement are all used as the spiral to create an illusion which makes this photograph very interesting. This pattern is a man made pattern and shows that even the ground pavements have a intrieging structure to it that can attract many viewers. This pattern also gives pavements a modern sense to it.

 In this photograph it contains the theme of colour. This photograph is of a stunning girl who has colour drawn on her that has smudged and toned together. The colours look very bright but washed out as well. The texture looks very soft and like they have been applied by pastels. The colours are multicoloured and range from soft tones to bright and bold tones. The colours on the neutral base of her skin stand out and draw the viewers in. By having her hair pushed back and clear skin puts all the attention on the colours as they are the focal point of this photograph. The colours are blue,purple,pink,green,yellow,orange and red. This is a great variety and they all symbolise different emotions which could suggest this girls feelings through colour that she expresses. Some of these colours are two-toned this is where for example the purple has a dark shade and a pale shade. This is very affective as it gives her features more shape and adds extra detail. The colours are applied very neat and have a clean finsih to them this makes this photograph look very prefessional and high quality.

In this photograph it contains the theme of colour. The main colour in this photograph is the colour pink. This colour is very bright and vibrant. This photograph is close up and exposes the full detail of the flower this creates the colour pink to be different shades as the pink increases in darkness on the lines but gets lighter on the base of the petals. The colour pink is very soft and delicate colour and creates the flowers to have a sense of beauty. There are faint colours of green in the background of this photograph aswell which give the photograph a nature vibe and it complements the pink.

In this photograph it shows the use of colour. This photograph is a photo of a bird on a branch. This is taken from the side of the bird as you can only see one side of this bird. The colours that are used in this photograph are purple,blue,yellow,red,brown,grey and white. The colours on the bird are very bright and the beak exspecially being the colour red gives a sense of warmth to the photograph. The purple and blue colours on the wings and head are very toned and look very relistic as the textures of them look furry and bristly this is affective as it makes this photograph very perfessional. The brown on the branches look very faint and just add detail to the photograph. The background of this photograph is very blurry and contains the colours of grey and white combined together this has a sense of coldness and a typical winters day.

The pots are all multicoloured featuring the colours of blue,yellow,white,purple,green,pink,red and orang. Theese colours are all very bright and rich. The colours have a matalic shine to them which is very affective as it gives the pots a 3D look to them instead of being flat and dull. As the pots get further into the distance the colours become very misty and faint. This give this photograph different light and brightness of colours. This photograph is very simple but the colours make it very creative and fun to look at. The colours give this photograph an attraction as the viewer will find this very eye catching instead of boring and unintresting.

Colour is a shade that the human eye can see it creates anything to become alive and vibrant even if the shade or tone is dark and faint.

Work Diary

The first photograph i am evaluating is the leaves edit. This was photographed in a very good postion as you can see the deifferent size leafs and how they all open up and are structured. The colours are very clear. As well as the use of close up brings out the colours. To improve this photograph i could zoom out to get more of  a range of plants in the photograph to make it more intersting or take from a different angle to see what the colour looks from a different light.

The day that i went out to photograph my colour photos the weather was alot brighter so i could go to diffrent places to photograph objects and building to improve my shoot i would defiently take more photos.

In this photograph it expresses the theme of colours. This photograph is a photo of art pencils with bright mulitcoloured tips on them. The pencils are in black and white and the tips are in colour. The photograph's angle is taken from above the pencils therefore being a birds eye view. The photograph is bright and has a clear sharpness to it. The pencils are postioned in a circle with the pencils facing inwards. This is very affective as it forms a repeated pattern and looks very pretty. The colours are orange,blue,navy,pale pink,brown,green,red,yellow,purple,pink,black and dark green. These colours stand out as they are bright and bold. The colours appeal very eye catching as the black and white background create the colours to stand out even more. The colours are the main focus of this phtograph and are what the viewers see first as the colours draw them in. With out these colurs the photograph would be very dull and unintresting. I like this photograph because it is very different and takes ordinary objects and makes them become very fasicinating in a photograph.

In this photograph there is use of the theme colour. This photograph is a photo of a row of houses in a street with cars parked outside each one. The houses are all different colours and as the houses get further away the houses get smaller and narrower.The photograph is taken from the side so that the photographer can get the full lentgh view of the street. The photograph is very bright and there are huge amounts of colour. The whole photograph is full of colour but the colours that draw me in are the ones on the houses. This is because they are blocked colour that are extremely bright and bring a sense of happiness and summer to the photo. The enhanced blue sky is very eye catching aswell and makes this photograph even more bright and joyful.

This photograph contains the theme of colour and expresses it using bright colours in contrast with black and white dull colours. This photograph is a photo of a long wall that is graffitied and then leads to a stormy sky and old ancinent cottages.The colours on the graffitie wall are very appealing as they stand out from the dark surroundings around it. This photograph represents modern in contrast with old fashion. The colours are very courageouse as they all clash however this is what makes the colours stand out and capitavating.

In this photograph there is the theme of colour. This is because the rose is bright yellow. This photograph is shot as an extremly close up photograph. This is very affective as it shows all the detailed features of the rose aswell as bringing out the colour yellow more and making the colour very capitivating. The colour yellow has conations of happiness, postivity and creates flowers to look very glamorouse. The brightness of this colour is very appealing and draws the viewer in staright away. roses are normally red so by choosing to use a yellow colour rose is very unique and intrieing. This photograph has different shades of yellow where some parts are darker than others this creates the photograph to look relistic and creates depth in the rose.

 In this photograph it contains the theme of colour. This is because on these lips there are sweets which are multicoloured. The face and background are black and white and are very faint and misty which creates a blurry affect. The bright colours on the lips are very affective as they stand out from the black and white background as well as the colours being 3D creates the colours to look very funky and engaging to look at. This idea of having bright coloured sweets instead of lipstick is very creative and if there wasnt any bright colours this photograph wouldnt be as intresting and affective. The coloures arent all in focus but by this being imperfect and edgy makes this photograph even better.

This photograph is very close up this is affective because this allows the viewer to see detailed features very clear and also enhances the colours. The colours in this eye are blue,pink,yellow and orange these all mesh together which creates the colours to have different tones. The colours are very shiny and have reflections in them which are affective because this makes the photography haunting. The colours also empahsis the eye and creates the look of fear through the shinyness of the colours as they make the eye look as if tears are about to stream out. The colours in the eye also look very iluusional and isnt blocked but still has the faint outline of the pupil this makes the photograph very relistic and even more myseteriouse at the same time.
